Post Election Perspective

I posted this picture from my office the day after the presidential election because my new friend Pastor Mark Borgetti posted this:

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Do I believe any presidential outcome is part of God’s plan. No! Because it suggests we can passively sit back and watch God’s plan unfold. God’s plan is for His people to participate in His plan.
– Act justly
– Love mercy
– Walk humbly
So today, whether your candidate won or lost … participate in God’s plan for our world. Act justly and be the voice for those who have none. Love mercy and care for those who have less and hurt more. And walk humbly today whether your candidate won or lost.
God is still on the throne and his plan still is in play. Be part of God’s plan.
